Creating a page

Last modified March 9, 2007 | Revision 1

Creating a page is as simple as visiting a page that doesnt exist while being logged in. There are two common ways to achieve this.

  1. Follow a link that goes to a non-existant page, or create that link and follow it
  2. Type in a URL that doesn’t exist.

Once you have been greeted with the This page does not exist page you may begin editing. You are required to provide a title and some text.

Naming conventions

Rule 1: Use standard english language conventions. Capitalise only first letters of a sentence and proper nouns.

Page titles are allowed to be full english. These will automatically be normalised to create a URL for you. You should clean this up to be grammatically correct before you save the page.

A title that ends in a slash / is a directory page and will list all the pages that exist beneath it. Directory pages may contain other directory pages, eg Directory one/Subdirectory/Page

Rule 2: Treat each page title or directory title as its own sentence. This means that after each slash you should begin with a capital letter.
