Broken pages

Last modified March 26, 2008 | Revision 41

Brehaut.net is a work in process, and probably always will be. This page lists the things that are known problems.

Please sign ever specific problem you note, its very helpful if I (brehaut) know who to go to if i need more info so please sign them. Thanks!

Things that have been fixed

  • Should maintain “last contributor,” and display somewhere; particularly in the feed
  • Pages start with a revision of 2 now. Grand
  • Fix the dashes, won’t someone please fix the dashes? – david
  • Awful conflict resolution and merging
  • Theoretically the feed now is not encoded HTML and actually readable.

Functionality

  • Search

  • Macros

    • wikipedia links are broken when they contain apostrophes; see Wolf’s Rain on the Anime page.
  • Can’t log in on Nokia Series 60 browser because the ‘Login’ button isn’t there. The button tag doesn’t appear to be supported. - david

  • http://brehaut.net/miscellany returns a django error without the trailing slash… {I have set up a redirect. However, i think getting a 404 (despite it being a debug mode 404) for a resource that doesnt exist is quite a legit response – brehaut Yes but it does exist… right? Joe user wouldn’t see miscellany and miscellany/ as being any different? – greg Its true enough, but its also a question of reasonable effort - i shall investigate how django’s trailing slash stuff works, but i dont want wordpress ‘everything is ‘/’ ended’ url scheme}

Normalisation

  • if a page is created by linking to it, the title will come out mangled. need to not normalise a link to a non-existant page?
  • If a page gets re-named, should probably redirect to the new title rather than the old.
  • Some form of relative addressing in page names probably should exist. perhaps will take the form of Name as you expect from normal relative addresses. or any other suggestions to manage some of the more monstrously long page names / links in some places.

Content

  • Homepage
  • Links are far from complete
  • Markdown needs work
  • Help
  • Spelling needs work (always)
  • Also RAWK -albeit fixed when i resaved. I tried to put slashes in the title though and it went haywire. {random slashes aren’t allowed (and arent recognised by the URL mapping probably) need to look some more at the normalisation — brehaut}

Style

  • Anything with a form button
  • Images and top links all end up screwy on Nokia Series 60: they all show below the content. - david
